Who's the Tallest?

I was hoping to photograph the sunset today, after another dull and drizzly day! 

I spent an hour down on the quay, photographing the herring gulls and other things, whilst I waited for sunset but the sun forgot to show up!  So you have some gulls. They were great fun to watch, especially these two who seemed to be having a neck stretching competition - maybe a courtship thing but gulls' mating rituals are not my sphere of expertise...... There's a few more gull shots here.

As for the other stuff I photographed, you'll have to wait for another time because I'm stashing the ideas away for dull day blips that can be repeated, should the need arise..........!!!
