Out and about for hours and hours today, by the time I got back it felt like I'd not been home for days. Swimming and shopping and getting holiday money and a movie and then the pub (where I greatly enjoyed trying out some craft beer in 1/3 pint glasses for a quid or so) before going for a fancier-than-normal meal at The Bonham - duck croquette anyone? Don't worry , I've not got ideas above my station, we were there on a cheap deal - as Sleaford Mods would put it, REALZ!

Turns out that after looking through gig lists and stuff recently I've missed mentioning a fair few anniversaries over the last week or so (The Fall (twice), Billy Bragg, Conquering Animal Sound and Vashti Bunyan for starters....) but, today, back in the heady indie/post-grunge days of 1992 I was at home in Hull for the weekend and went to see a double-header of 'top-flight' bands. Except one of 'em cancelled, luckily the other didn't. A tune from the ones that turned up...
