Mixed morning light on Carlsheaven
My last morning view on Carlsheaven for the time being. A view which was mixed or double. After a noisy stormy night, the sunlight was only shining in patches and intervals. One moment a flash of golden light passed quickly through the valley. Lighting up houses, forestparts, hillside meadows far away. Or the branches of our Guardian Oak Tree nearby. Next moment - as another cloudformation covered the sun - dark shadows returned. While at the other side of the valley new moving light spots rose up and moved through the landscape, up&down.
And apart from that stormy rains passed and left twinckling stars of drops in the tree branches around. So almost the entire day you saw a coming and going of light&shadow, rainfall&drying up. No view of whatever remained the same for more than a couple of moments. Meanwhile I had been busy to close and finish my circles of ToDoThings to be ready for departure. Writing this journal being one of the final before closing my laptop and turning low the central heating.
I am very curious how our short stay together at the Northsea side will work out. We are grateful to share Easter together during a kind of extra long weekend. But we will be the expats there now. Thats a new experience, which gives us quietness and security to be back home here soon. Which initiates some new form of freedom. A humble and modest form of freedom. The better kind which really suits our age. One of the priviledges of growing older and wiser. Seeyoulater at the Northseaside!
