Fiesta de la Primavera

We went for a walk with the walking group we're part of....this was the view from one of the hills we scaled! This week we were raising money for the Ibiza Preservation Fund & specifically for their water projects. Water shortage is a huge problem in Ibiza, ALL our water is rainwater, and our resources are half of what they should be...add to that the sinking of wells has led to such pressure (apparently) that sea water has started mixing with the rain water, leading to a lot of small time farmers having to abandon their crops last year, as they were ruined by the salty water... Anyway, very interesting, made me glad we don't have a pool or garden...
Then on to lunch with some of the walkers and after that on to a big fiesta called 'Fiesta de la Primavera' - Spring festival essentially...It was SO lavish...held in this outdoor spa place - utterly beautiful and totally NOT a world Danny and I fit into! It was beautiful, but such a relief to come home to our normal road and normal life!! Amazing colourful decorations though - see here. But ended up with a blinder of a headache - thank goodness for Danny looking after Asha (hence the back-blipping)!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Meeting some new people on the walk this morning.
2) Sunshine - blue skies and 22 degrees today...summer is on the way!
3) Nature - saw some stunning scenery today....I think we might live in Paradise...!
