A Lonesome Tree

When we set off today we wern't sure where we going as the weather didn't look promising.
We got to Rheged and went to see the Wildlife photography exhibition, after coffee, we thought we'd have a walk on Mell Fell, but the weather deteriorated  so we took the dogs up the lane under the fell, a good job  that is all we did as by the time we got back to the van it was horrible sleety rain.
We came home by the main road (not like us to go on main roads) and are now sitting by a cosy fire. Don't think we will be venturing out again today.
