Pop-up Shop Day

Today we opened Mrs madwill's pop-up shop for business in Boston Spa village hall.

The stock of fabrics and quilting supplies was transported and set up - and we opened (just about on time for 10 a.m.)

One of the 'features' of the pop-up shop days has been a pop-up cafe serving tea/coffee and cakes! It's hard work choosing and buying fabric and so refreshment is usually needed. It is also a convenient spot for the ladies to plonk their husbands whilst they have a wander around the stalls.

In the past this has been run as a fundraiser by a quilting group but they were unable to be there today. So Mrs madwill baked a couple of cakes and as a special treat our daughter baked lots of cupcakes and muffins and other goodies. She also came to run the cafe with proceeds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance this time.

Baby Jessica came along too and she had a whale of time - loads of attention from visitors and she helped me on the till too!

Our canine visitors went home with them so now I can return to normal dog walks!
