STANDING OVATION

Former Liverpool FC goalkeeper Pepe Reina gets a standing ovation as he is substituted during Steven Gerrard & Jamie Carragher's Charity match at Anfield.

The match saw Steven and Jamie playing on opposing teams alongside other Liverpool players past & present, like Lucas Leiva, Luis Suarez, Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia and Fernando Torres all reunited as well as other great players like Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry turning out to support Steven's chosen charities.

The match was effectively a testimonial for both Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, two of Liverpool's greatest players.

All proceeds from the match went towards the Liverpool Foundation, as well as other local charities.

The event will raise in excess of £500,000 for the work of the Foundation as well as Alder Hey Hospital, Claire House children’s hospice, Positive Futures, Centre 56 and Cash for Kids.
