First day of Spring!

As I have said before, I consider the first day of spring to be the day I first find a Bee fly Bombylius major in my garden. Well, today was that day! despite it being dull and windy  there was a newly hatched Bee fly sitting on the Day lily leaves in my garden - yipeeeeee!!!!!
I had gone to Tillington to photograph the beautiful church there, but when I saw the bee fly I just knew it had to be my blip. He was very good and posed so nicely for me too, you can see his hairy little body, which was just as well with it being so chilly. 
Back to churches / churchyards tomorrow hopefully !
