Finsbury Town Hall

Finsbury Town Hall is an early example of British art-nouveau. Originally Vestry Hall, it opened in 1895 to serve the Clerkenwell parish, which was promptly abolished 5 years later. It was then adopted as town hall for the new borough of Finsbury, but outlived that too when Finsbury was absorbed into Islington in 1965. The hall later became a dance academy and is now a venue for weddings and other functions.
