Swimming Lessons

Learning to swim on the pond....2 were in and 4 more waiting to go. Can you remember when you learnt to swim? We used to troop down to an old victorian swimming baths in York, which has now long gone.You had to walk over the pool by a narrow bridge with no handrail, which was conveniently placed at the deep end to get to the changing cubicles....handy if you can't swim. We used to call the changing area ..The Freezer Box because no matter what time of year you went it was cold. I think only schools used it because it was indoor, there was a brand new open air pool just nearby and everyone went there.....that is now no longer there either.
