Encore!

I've blipped this dried leaf, a souvenir of last autumn, and this little glass table before, but today's MonoMonday theme of Patterns, coupled with the effect produced by the pale morning light, made me decide that the leaf deserved an encore.

It's from the Japanese Maple in our back yard/garden, which is the last one to leaf out in spring. That's more than made up for by the rich red of its autumn color, beautiful even when the leaves are just about to fall.
