186 years ago...

The Eiffel Tower was inaugurated on March 31, 1889 for the World's Fair.  300 meters tall, it was the tallest building in the world until 1930 and the Chrysler Building in NYC.
So it had to be the subject of my blip today (thanks for the heads' up, SR!) but what to do of one of the world's most photographed monuments??
So I decided on the one that I wake up to every morning - the view from my window!
