Chive

A lovely flower - as well as such a useful plant.

Yeterday's opera rehearsal was, basically, a full final run through. Andris Nelsons was conducting the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House in a magnificent production of Richard Strauss' gory opera "Salome". It was brilliant but, as one of my friends said, better as a matinee. If it had been in the evening it would have given us all nightmares.

Where we were sitting, we couldn't see the full gore of the cistern but there was plenty of blood flowing and it was brilliantly ghastly. Angela Denoke was the German soprano who was mangificent in the title role.

Back home, in the garden, as a cinnabar moth decided to fly away when I emerged with my camera. This is the photo I took two days ago of said moth.
