Taking on Water

Dreadful timing for my dog walk. It was blowing a gale with hale and sleet.

Ventured out from the shelter of the station to take this rather wet shot of Eric Treacy taking on water in more ways than one.

Eric Treacy was Lord Bishop of Wakefield and was known for his railway photography. He died of a heart attack on Appleby Station whilst waiting for the Settle to Carlisle railway.
