Beauty, or the Beast

A little beauty, or a little beastie, depending on your point of view ...
Personally I think this little critter is the former ... although, to be quite honest, I'm not totally sure what he (she?) actually is ...
I assume it's a relative of the more common wasp, but I've no idea as to whether it's capable of inflicting as much pain ...

We had a similar little chap residing in the conservatory a few years back, and he did wonders pollinating the chilli plants ... 
This one, however, was found mooching around in the dry cleaning shop on The Bridge, so I thought it best to set him free, before he got put into the washing machine ... (but not before 'blipping' him ... of course) ... :o)
