Eight of the ten eggs hatched on the 24th May, they are growing fast as these ever open mouths are frantically being stuffed with caterpillars.
The Woodpeckers have given up trying to tunnel into the nest box since we wrapped it in chicken wire.
The Woodpeckers have their own problem as they were 'mobbing a Magpie that was interested in the hole to their nest.
Then the Magpie has a problem too as I found the remains of one of their fledglings on the path in the wood.
It could have been the Buzzard....so we ate him!

No we didn't....but it is fortunate to be at the right end of the food chain.
