Wide Open Spaces

It has been weeks that the entrance to the Kirkgate has been being refurbished. This has involved a five minute wait in a traffic jam at the temporary lights in all directions at one of the busiest junctions in the town.
It does mean that the benches where the jakies and junkies used to sit have been moved. But it does make it a lot more difficult to avoid the people trying to sell you broadband + TV packages, or save you money on your fuel bill.
The best thing, though, is that they appear to have listened to the people and have removed the ugly blue pointy thing that used to stand there pointlessly.
Maybe they'll restore the anchor...
