"There's a Man Daddy"

Today we drove to Port Arthur, one of the old convict settlements here on Tasmania. They do ghost tours there, but it was full sunshine and amazing blue sky.

Whilst we were listening to the tour, Miles kept running off so I wander off up the hill with him. After a little while, Miles looked up at the ruins and said "There's a man Daddy".

I looked up - noone there.
"Where's a man?"
"There" - pointing at the ruin. There was noone there.
"At the window?"
"Yes the bottom window"
"is he still there now?"
"Yes. He's real but he's not scary".

I got a little shiver. I asked him again  a couple of minutes later and the man had gone.

I asked the guide about ghosts in that spot and he declined to comment - he did say (unprompted) that where there have been sightings, they've always been in the day and they're almost always by children who know nothing about what Port Arthur used to be.

Fun stuff - we're still loving Tasmania!
