Heaven!
I'm so happy with the final look! And even more impressed that it only took 2 days to do it all :-)
I woke up at 6:30am today, as I had to be there at 8am. It turned out that getting ready at mum's was quicker than when I'm at home, so I had a bit of time to spare. So what did I do? I woke up Little B! He was all warm and snuggly and I love those first morning moments with him, which I don't get to see as I don;t live there anymore!
The rest of the day I have been in and out like a Jack-in-a-box! By 10:30am he had grouted the tiles, trimmed (and sanded beautifully) the bathroom door and rehung it, and done a few little odd jobs for me. I had an appointment with A, so we went our separate ways for a couple of hours, with the only job left to do putting the toilet back in and sealing everything.
I was delighted to have time to refuel before my appointment, so I had a bowl of strawberries and a cup of tea at my mum's, while she was at Zumba. I'd been sat for about 5 seconds when my cup missed the table, and thundered to the floor, before breaking clean in half. Tea. Everywhere.!
Little B was a helpless hostage on the sofa, looking rather perplexed yet intrigued as he watched me rotate the sofa and hoover and mop!
My appointment with A was good, I love going there.
It turned out that th toilet fitting was rather fiddly, so there were multiple trips to the warehouse while I died of boredom back at home! I'm a bit rubbish just hanging around, so I tried to busy myself cleaning things I never clean whilst I waited :-)
By 5pm it was all done, and the I spent two hours clearing up. Everything was covered in dust.
Home, fish pie dinner with mum and dad, then a nice warm bath. I'm knackered! I am so pleased with the result, I can't quite believe it's been done!
I've had a nice chat with T on the phone, and I'm going to get an early night I think. The holidays can now begin :-)
