Time Travel
Back to the 1970s on the Fife Circle line. First Scotrail are currently operating a couple of peak time locomotive hauled trains on the Edinburgh - Fife Circle route using Class 67 locomotives and MkII coaches hired from DB Schenker. The coaches are of a design where the door windows open to enable the door handle to be reached from inside the coach. These are the type of window that I used to spend many miles leaning out of to admire the view on all sorts or railway lines. No surprise really when the conductor on this train wasn't happy that I wanted to hold my camera out of the window for a shot. How did we ever survive without the overprotective H&S that seems to exist everywhere now?
