Waiting For The Interurban - Mexico
There is a very famous stature in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood called "Waiting for the Interurban". Cast in 1979 it has graced a corner near the Fremont Bridge ever since and has been photographed countless times - especially when decorated with holiday appropriate clothing as often happens throughout the year. I remembered that today as I sat at a traffic light and glanced to my left at the bus stop for Ixtapa. While the interurban in Fremont ran from Seattle to Everett, we kind of have our own interurban running between downtown Zihua and Ixtapa picking up passengers just like these every day (though not in nicely constructed railcars, but in somewhat rickety buses).
