This afternoon we visited our friend Marti at the Seidman Cancer Center at University Hospitals. I posted a similar view here on March 1, when we went to see her. This week she returned to UH for treatment of a complication that is hopefully resolving itself. I really admire her for the courage and determination she is displaying in the face of these recent experiences.
Today has been a long day. In the morning, a 50 mile drive to Canton for the funeral service of a friend's father was followed by lunch, then the trip downtown to see Marti. Thankfully the weather was good. The sun actually came out as we drove home this evening. As I reflect on the day, I am reminded of a song I learned years ago in Girl Scouts:
Day is done.
Gone the sun
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
Goodnight, Blipfriends. I'm heading to bed.
