looking for buildings with expressive color today, i ran into three problems:  one - the building was so worn, there was little paint left on it, two - there was a large pick up truck in the driveway or three - there was a single light on in a back room, hinting that someone just might be home.  not looking to be caught today, i ended up at the pier.  i'm learning that some of the richest areas for texture and color are commercial/industrial settings.  this shot is of a painted jersey barrier placed to keep cars out of the harbor.
