Ightham Mote

I stayed in Sevenoaks overnight and this morning we took advantage of the beautiful Spring weather with a trip to Ightham Mote, a medieval manor house surrounded by (guess what) a mote, dating from the early 14th century but with some additions and alternations. It was fascinating to see how the interiors ranged over hundreds of years, with the rooms used by the last owners kept in the style of the 1950s.
