Training - day 1

With the new Care Act coming into force today, all social services staff have to attend specific training sessions. Today was my day for "person centred in all we do", looking at what person centred working is and supporting an individual through their "journey". Personalisation has been around for a long time, putting the individual at the centre of the planning, listening, looking at choices, empowering, supporting with an individual and holistic plan. A refresher day today, building on good practice already in place.

I appear to have booked my training courses the wrong way round - tomorrow is assessment and planning!

Lovely evening out - Team Wednesday - for our monthly meal with colleagues (past and present). Lots to catch up on and share.
