Surprise

Two days ago I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the oldest of my two Amaryllis bulbs had produced a flowering stem. It is in the room where I go the least and I had neglected to check on it for a while because I had been quite late to give it some new soil and at that time it had already started to grow some leaves. Normally they come after it has flowered and  therefore I hadn't expected it to do that anymore.

Either tomorrow afternoon, or Friday morning, I'll be off  to the nearby medical lab for a blood test for my operation. After that, I'll have to make an appointment for a few days later with my GP for some additional tests.
