Supermarket shopping

Mrs Soup asked me to get some tea bags today, so I nipped out to Fortnum and Mason - luscious shop, very helpful staff, and more than enough tea bags for all the tourists (and me).

Walking around, it is hard to miss the changes in central London at the moment: the streets/parks/shops/public spaces etc etc are gearing up for the expected summer deluge of Jubilee and Olympics tourists - the flags are out, everything is getting a polish, and there are more barriers appearing than there are sheep in Australia. Recession? What recession!

Incidentally, if you don't know where to park your horse in South London - I recommend Blackheath. The construction crews are erecting a small town of temporary stables. The Olympics is only on for a few weeks, so they would probably welcome a bit of extra income from you and your little pony.
