Fuel for a fire

We went to a CFA (country fire authority ) talk at the beginning of fire season. One of the advice points was to remove any 'fuel' around that could potentially fuel a fire / cause the fire to continue to burn. This pile has been growing on and off since early summer and I still have the hope that someone that lives in the road does the right thing
