Dalquharran Castle

Today's walk with the Early Ooters was a circular one from Dailly in South Ayrshire, taking in Barony Hill. The weather was better than forecast though we did get caught in a hailstorm at the top of the hill. On the way back, along the River Girvan we had a good view of the abandoned Dalquharran Castle. Designed by Robert Adam it was built for Thomas Kennedy of Dunure around 1790.
