Food Bank
A bright, slightly milder day.
A busy day with local our Baptist Minister's gathering in the morning when we were able to share what was happening in our churches and to pray for one another. In the afternoon I was editing my granddaughter's 3,000 word Essay on holistic care for those with a life threatening illness. Fortunately, it is about an area of care which I know something about. However, I am proud of my granddaughter that she is able to put together such a learned document.
After dinner, we went out round our local farming 'loop' and saw these horses gathered round their 'food bank'. This evening we will have the opportunity of hearing seven (yes 7) Party leaders debating the issues relevant to our UK General Election next month. I will not be surprised if the issue of Food Banks comes up, since 900,00 people used them this past year. It saddens me that I doubt if any Government, no matter how many Parties are involved in it, will be able to do anything about the inexorable widening of the gap between the rich and the poor.
