The monstrous buns!
Well I had the "discarded" part of the sourdough and I didn't want to discard it, it's like a family pet. So I mixed in some wholemeal flour, spices and fruit. It became a bit huge so I divided it into 16 buns but they sort of all grew into each other and over the edge of the tray.
They smell wonderful and seem to be soft and fruity.
I wouldn't get any points on the bake off, not very uniform and I'm sure our artisan baker would do a much better job. But I'm quite pleased, and they're dairy free.
