Thirlmere

We were supposed to be going to Grasmere today... but we never got beyond Thirlmere.

I've seen reflections in this lake before, but never with such clarity... it really was like a mirror for most of the morning. It was absolutely astonishing.

By lunchtime however, little ripples were starting to form, so we headed back to the car park and climbed up to Harrop Tarn for more photos.

All in all, an extremely good day.... :)
