Karnac Playhouse
We went to Cape Tribulation today, about a 2 hour drive but well worth it. The rainforest stretches right down to the beach and although I have some good beach shots I think this was the most interesting for us.
About and hour into the drive I was ready for a coffee, and we spotted a sign by the road to a cafe/gallery. We had to go off the main route and followed the signs along narrow roads past plantations of sugar cane. The signs for the gallery ran out but we took a chance and wet up a drive to the Karnac Playhouse in a tiny hamlet of about 6 houses. It ended up in this great theatre, in the middle of nowhere, with good coffee excellent home baking, set in a beautiful landscape. If we ever visit the area again we will look out for a show here, it should be a fantastic atmosphere.
