Happy Hour Came Early

I applied the first coat of finish to my box this afternoon -- a mixture of tung oil, linseed oil, and wipe-on polyurethane. The recipe was given to me by Jerry, the NCWA member who taught the box-making class. The effect was eye-popping.

I happily enjoyed an early beer while the finish dried. It was a Session IPA -- only 4.5% ABV -- a nice change from the typical full-blooded IPA.
