Fly On The Wall
Some years ago, when I worked in Leeds, Yorkshire Television ran a series called "Jimmy's". Filmed on location in St James's University Hospital, and with little editing, broadcast usually the same day or the day after.
At the time it was ground-breaking fly-on-the-wall stuff - certainly in a live hospital setting. It ran for 160 episodes and yours truly and many colleagues and friends were "caught on camera" out and around the wards at some time.
Yesterday, I went to observe my student, S, teaching at the air ambulance base near Wakefield. This is A, a former BBC film-maker, now free-lance, filming what was going on for the charity. Nobody batted an eye.
