Its an enigma

We have been off on our travels again today and went to the u boat exerbition in Birkenhead. This is the enigma machine which was recovered from the bottom of the sea along with the sunken uboat U-534 off the coast of Denmark. She was sunk by a liberator just after the war was over as she had not surrendered, it really was worth a vist.
