The Crete Boom
Created during the 1st world war when there was a steel shortage the Crete Boom ran aground early on in the 1900s in the mouth of the river Moy, it had to be towed here sometime in the 70s as it was silting up the river, now it forms a sandbar and makes the river more navigable.
