psychedelic rickshaw

Underneath the Holborn Viaduct on Shoe Lane is a cycle taxi/rickshaw depot. There are usually a few bikes outside but this evening one of the drivers was also there taking a break before starting his shift. I asked if I could take his photo - his response is probably best described as bemused - and we had a chat about cycling.

Quick day at work. Someone mentioned Marillion which led me to a track I've not listened to in nearly 30 years. Some Sleater-Kinner (not impressed; unoriginal and I couldn't understand the lyrics at all) which then led me to The Rogers Sisters and finally some Cream (seemed appropriate given the election coverage this evening).

Watched the election debate: not as bad as the independence referendum debates. The Greens presented well, Labour came out very poorly. Interestingly the SNP trotted out their Scots-pay-above-average-tax line while forgetting to mention Barnett and the well above UK average public spend. But that's the trouble with campaigning: lots of rhetoric and not many facts.
