Little and Large

This picture is taken overlooking Felixstowe Port from the Ha'penny Pier at Harwich.
'Large' is the MSC Francesca, flying the Panamanian flag.   She was built in 2008 and has a gross tonnage of 131,771.   Her length is 363 metres and her breadth 45 metres.   She was being assisted to her berthing position on Trinity Quay by one of the Port Tugs.
'Little' is the MV Explorer Foot Ferry licenced to carry 12 foot (or cycle) passengers.   It operates from the Ha'penny Pier in Harwich and calls at Shotley Marina and then Languard Fort just off the Port of Felixstowe.
We had planned to go to Harwich this morning and despite it being bitterly cold and with heavy drizzle we had an enjoyable time, took several photographs and came home to Toasted Hot Cross Buns and Hot Chocolate - we know how to live!!
