A Good Friday Gruffalo ...

Journey's end for our young grandchildren with a sand castle construction opportunity on the sands after lunch. 

F was seriously into his bucket and spade but less impressed by the calm sea that he declared was "very cold"!

That coldness did not deter the young children further  along the beach who were diving into the sea "to keep warm"!

Andrej - the Polish/German accordion player was in full flight as the Good Friday families promenaded and playgrounded their way along and around Edinburgh's Golden Seaside Mile .

It was lovely to be a part of this laid back seaside atmosphere and to share it with F and T's parents and their newly wed Uncle T and Auntie N.

T and N's plane from London, last night, did not arrive until 2315 delayed by a partial closure of Scottish Airspace due to an Italian cargo plane losing radio contact and being escorted  by RAF fighters, scrambled from the Moray Firth, to enforce its landing  at Prestwick,
