This particular turnip did eventually put his hands back on his bars when he came closer to the oncoming pedestrian but didn't make much of an effort to move over to the side, having drifted somewhat more to the left during his approach. Also turnipping along were some people playing bicycle-races through and out of the tunnel, even doing comedy tucks-on-the-drops inches behind the people in front of them, even when the people in front of them were obviously not expecting there to be a pretend racing-bicyclist immediately behind them.
