The Chinese Summer House by the river Avon . The 3rd Duke of Queensbury got Sir William Chambers to design it for him in 1772, and put it up by his stately home at Amesbury. Chambers had already built the Pagoda at Kew Gardens.
The Summer House was restored in the 1980`s, and the American Express gang visited in 1989, giving it the Europa Nostra Award.
