A concrete love affair

Leicester University Engineering Building

Following on from yesterday's Blip, today we have the absolutely resplendent Leicester University Engineering Building! Completed in 1959, this Stirling Gowan masterpiece is - in my view - Leicester's finest building. These diamond shape windows are so beautifully iconic, the building somehow echoing the triangular apexes and red brick civility of nearby terrace streets. Beautiful by night, illuminated from within.
