lois the lousy puppy

today a woman came in with this puppy she got at a breeder for $400. she brought the little girl in because she was itchy and had dandruff. turns out, she had lice. the woman did not handle this news well. she decided to take the pup to the shelter as opposed to back into her home. lice is very treatable, and she will have to treat her home either way now, so i very much could not understand her decision. neither could my co-worker, who adopted the puppy from the woman instead. so, after a name change and a de-lousing bath lois the lousy puppy is on her way to a very caring, loving (lice free) home!
