Arriving in Osaka...

Arriving in Osaka had its hiccups...

My suitcase went missing.

There was a long queue to get the Japan Rail pass.

I barely slept on the plane and was very dehydrated. The weather was rainy.

But! Kind people helped point me the way to get into town. The hotel was a stone's throw from the tram stop. The hotel is a bit swanky - I'm glad I got my hair cut and shined my shoes before I left - and the staff were particularly kind and lent me a plug adapter. I explored the local area, had lunch then dinner, got some clothes to see me through and even found green tea flavoured KitKats - who knew green coloured chocolate could taste so good?

I survived to sightsee another day.
