Flowering Magnolia

This is my first blip for a while.  So many days to catch up on.  Not sure where to start.
I have had a day of being supervised for a new, fairly responsible role I found myself applying for. I think I am still on auto pilot.  Not sure why I still feel the need to keep doing all this stuff.
Youngest son was hugely disappointed as the offer of the contract in Stuttgart was withdrawn when they realised he didn't. speak German, so we are back to square 1 on the job front for him.  Why oh why are young people treated so badly by recruiters?  I know it is supply and demand but I now believe you have to legislate for a sector with little or no values.
We had a visit from son's partner and little Amelia.  What a whirlwind.  My feet didn't touch the ground.
Then poor Flash cut his paw very badly.  We thought, at first, it was ok but he became gradually more and more listless.  Wouldn't get out of his bed.  So I had to cancel work and come home to take him to the vets.  She said he had developed an infection and needed antibiotics.  He is a little better but is still not himself.  We are worried as she implied there may be something else going on.
Phew! That's it... and Ken's mum is still here.
