Get your bake on

I was lucky enough to visit an orphanage/school in Calcutta when I was travelling in 2006 which had quite a big effect on me. I was so touched by the plight of the children that I have since regularly raised money for the charity. Last week I received an email asking if I could help to raise about £180 so that they could buy an Easter egg for each of the children at the school. Jenny organised a bake sale at Keystone and invited students to our apartment on Sunday afternoon to make the cakes. It was a successful venture and we managed to raised all the money that they needed.

You can read more about the charity here www.starswelfaresociety.com. They are a tiny charity caring for about 130 kids in a very poor area. They rely on small contributions to keep going so we do what we can.
