Technical blip...
The warm weather and stuffiness continued through Monday night, with no sound of thunder on the way to break it up. The only sound to wake me up at 3am was the cats chorus from the avenue! At first I thought it was my neighbours cheering, but no, it was 3 cats (the fat cat tenors) very strange to hear.
Still overall a good sleep and off to work we go. Felt like a Wednesday but it was only Tuesday. Had a wander out at lunch and it's definately turned a tad cooler.
Tea at mums and then filling out lots of forms for her house move, which will hopefully be in the next 4 weeks...need to get my finger out at 49 next week!
Then tried to find an old video of me and HRH (which dad had shot on cinefilm) of her visit to Nottingham for her Silver Jubilee in the July of 1977. My claim to fame occurred as the royal cars swept down the a60 from Mansfield and we had stood there hours. As the queens car approached, mum ushered me to the front of the crowd and flagged the car down! The DoE signalled to stop the car and the queen wound her window down to receive my gift!
The gift (little did HRH know) was a hard boiled egg (weeks old) decorated as the coronation crown! My dads work! (it had eon me first prize at schools easter comp) Boy that must've stunk the palace out when she put it on her mantel!
Found the VHS tape but not the right combination of wires to burn it to my pc...will try and sort before the weekend!
