Ship's bollard at Port Carlisle?

Port Carlisle was built so goods could be brought to Carlisle by canal in the 1820s. It was a 'late' canal and didn't last long when the railways came. The canal was built over with a railway but this too no longer exists.

It was high tide today so the full extent of the former port was under water. This finely cut bollard now stands alone.
