Who needs New York?

In the countryside between Warrington and Manchester is the pretty village of Croft. It has a beautiful church and lots of attractive houses of different ages with some very desirable, and expensive, Victorian and Georgian houses set in large gardens. It's surrounded by lush, green countryside and, if you blot out the noise from the M6 and M62, it's a very pleasant part of the world.

Everyone knows about the Statue of Liberty in New York harbour. A lot of people know about the little copy of the statue on an island in the River Seine in Paris, just near the Eiffel Tower. A reminder that the statue was a gift to the USA from France. But not many will know about this one at the end of Lady Lane in Croft.
